STAG
is a social and support network for Transmaculine individuals. We range in age from
the teens to the late 50's and come from various
backgrounds. We are all in different stages of transitioning, with some of us who do not want to transition or are not able to. No two guys
are alike in this group and we are proud of our diversity.
STAG is open to all FTM (female to male) and MTM (male to male)
transgender/ transsexual identifying persons regardless of where they are
in the transition process, along with drag kings, genderqueer people, intersex people, and anyone on the masculine spectrum along with our friends, families, significant others, and those who support us.
This site was made to keep members informed of events and resources in
the community. It is also a good starting point for T Men out there in
the "reaching out" phase of transitioning. The STAG
community also hopes to spread awareness and knowledge about transgenderism.
Information vital to TG Guys such
as: surgery, hormones, name
change issues, relationships, and issues regarding passing as
male are all discussed in meetings and on our listserv, as well as in important documents in our Houston_STAG yahoo group.
